Sir Walter Buffalo has a broad leaf, deep green colour and soft to touch. It has a 50% shade tolerance only requiring 4-5 hours of sunlight per day. Sir Walter Buffalo has a medium drought tolerance, which is great for our South East Queensland climate. Like other buffalos, Sir Walter is low maintenance requiring less mowing to most couch varieties. Sir Walter Buffalo is a perfect lawn for Brisbane, Gold Coast and surrounding areas.

Sir Walter Buffalo requires mowing every 5-10 days in summer and every 3-6 weeks in winter. The recommended mowing height is 2-5cm in sunny conditions and 5-7cm in shaded conditions. Once established, Sir Walter is drought tolerant, so remember to water infrequently and a deep water to promote a strong root system and a healthy lawn.
Sir Walter Buffalo can be used in residential front and backyards and low traffic commercial premises.
